Aside from having an insane compound that hosted renowned DJs and Artist for their Elemental party, the BitBasel team also brought in initiatives to showcase NFT artist that have social and sustainable impact, adding more access to Space with inspiring panels and talks with astronauts, and without leaving out the Miami Tech community.
This week long activation had something for everyone!

Mana Commons nft.now & Moonpay’s The Gateway Metropolis
The Gateway Metropolis
Did someone say Miami was the Capital of Crypto?
The Mana Common team along with nft.now and Moonpay turned the city of Downtown’s Flagler district into a metropolis for NFT enthusiast; a crypto playground. With each empty storefront turned into wards where you can collect, buy, and interact with installations put on by RFTK, Porsche, ArtBlocks, MetaMask, Instagram, Moonpay to name a few.
The opening party for VIPs and panels with legends took place in in the historic Dupont building. With activations and panels happening along the roads of downtown. Needless to say Mana Commons coining Downtown as the innovation center for Tech is 100% on the money.
Upstream DAO-A-THON
Upstream’s first ever DAO-A-Thon
You’ve heard of Hackathons but have you heard of DAOathon? Pretty catchy, especially with $10k in prizes and giveaways.
Upstream with the help of Delta Airlines on December 2nd, hosted a the first ever competition for DAOs. Each team got to pitch their idea for a DAO in front of a panel of judges. Who doesn’t love a DAO pitch competition!
So who won? Grateful DAO, you know those awesome Giraffe stickers we had in our front desk! We’re pretty excited that a community that promotes mental well-being through their Grateful Giraffe NFT won the big $10k
Vayner3 & Web3 Equity at Scope
Gary V Everywhere!
The man must have a stunt double, because we saw him speak everywhere!
Aside from The Gateway, Timeout Market, and other gatherings, Gary V spoke and hung out just about everywhere. But, local favorite group Web3Equity gave their NFT holders utility in a big way this Art Basel with an activation at Scope.
Not only did they issue a drop for holders of their iconic logo in a V way, but holders were able to attend a panel “Dimond Hands” hosted along side the Vayner3 event. They also got to attend the afterparty presented by Jonny Walker in order to help st. Judes cancer patients.

Huge shout out to the team of J.P.Morgan who invited us to see who got the top spot on the ATM at Art Basel. Check out their initiatives in supporting the tech scene here in Miami with Capital Connect.

LAB team attended the newest Female cohort from EndeavorLAB at the Fontainebleau congrats to the founders of Binibi, Chefpost, ClearCloser, Journey, Nala, Ola, People Clerk, Pivot and Redress.

Miami Hack Week came early to Solana Spaces in Wynwood and presented 5 companies to a panel of expert judges with an open mic option for the audience to showcase their projects.
FilmGate!
LAB is a huge fan of the Arts especially a fan of FilmGate Miami. The four day festival brought in tons of artist in the AR, VR, and XR Space. They celebrated the 9th year of this big festival!
