Miami Film Festival x Think Tank Thursday

We had a great crowd a last nights Think Tank Thursday event where we partnered with Miami Film Festival to celebrate Black History Month and deliver a night of culture and entrepreneurship.

Emmy nominated Director Rachelle Salnave kicked us off by talking about the 6 powerful films she chose to participate in this year's film fest and why her films focus on the Haitian community here in Miami. In film, you still have to Pitch your ideas and that is exactly what she did to win the money to create such films.. Pitching is an Art!

Pitch Night followed with cool local startups innovating in the digital and drone spaces. From Miami to the 🌎!

Moneta, promises to make spare-change into profits, and clunky pocket change a thing of the past by digitizing it.

Districa, makes all kinds of art physical or digital easily accessible for viewing in the metaverse by incorporating VR to make it easy for artists and enthusiasts alike to view, buy, and sell art.

Startup Showcase

Startup Showcase Presented by Algorand is now open and accepting applications. Participants will have a chance to win over $400,000 in investments: $250,000 investment by Florida Funders, $120,000 investment by Panoramic Ventures, $50,000 investment by eMerge Americas, and with additional prizes to be announced in coming weeks! Deadline for entry is February 28, 2022.

Pitch Competition

The Founder(s) must be South Florida resident(s) living in Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe or Palm Beach counties.The product can be a proposed business or one that is already in development or operation. If your business launched operations prior to January 1, 2019, it is not eligible. The company must have already generated at least $50K in revenues at the time of submission.
